One of the coolest breweries in Austin for the ambiance alone: Central Machine Works is in a workshop that made airplane parts in 2022. They have a lot of drinks (beer + cocktails) and a really good kid-friendly menu.

Hold Out is one of the best options in Austin for REALLY good food and REALLY good beer. They’re adjacent to sister restaurant Better Half Bar, and everything is made in-house, including burger buns! The beer is awesome (lots of hop-forward brews here) and there’s a great covered patio where you can enjoy it all. Plus, there’s a ton of parking here on the back side of the property, which is pretty rare for a brewery in downtown Austin.

Old school craft brewery that dates back to 2004. They’re famous for their Native Texas pilsner, a light 5.2% brew that tastes great on a hot Austin day.

Oasis Brewing’s London Homesick Ale won a gold medal at GABF, and it’s a nice little 4% beer that tastes great on the hottest days of the year.
