Thanksgiving is upon us! And while some people love spending weeks planning, shopping, cooking, and crafting every single detail…some of us love to outsource. If cooking isn’t your love language you don’t want to spend your entire holiday working in the kitchen, good news: there are plenty of places to order Thanksgiving food to-go in Austin! From restaurants to grocery stores to caterers, here are some of the most delicious options.
As with all holidays, the earlier you plan, the better your chances of getting the food you really want. Some of these restaurants open their ordering windows very early (like in October) and sell out immediately.
Also, keep in mind that these folks in the hospitality industry are working very hard on this holiday. Be sure to show them lots of gratitude and tip well!

1. Central Market
An obvious option, but worth mentioning. H-E-B’s gourmet grocery store brand has full Thanksgiving meals available for pre-order. 2. Whole Foods
Another excellent grocery store option, Whole Foods has similar meals and price points to Central Market, but they also have the option to pre-order a “Thanksgiving Extravaganza” that includes more appetizers, starters, sides, and specialty items. 3. Dai Due Thanksgiving Pre-Orders
Dai Due is a butcher shop and supper club on Manor Rd. It started as a farmers market favorite and quickly evolved into an award-winning brick-and-mortar establishment with a loyal following. Their local and sustainable approach to farm-to-table cuisine has helped them carve out a niche in the Austin dining scene.
Dai Due’s Thanksgiving pre-order menu includes items like organic 3-day brined turkeys, smoked wild boar hams, chicken fat mashed sweet potatoes, collard greens braised with bacon and beer, and charcuterie. They’re also offering pre-made pie dough, 9-inch apple pies, cinnamon rolls, and other baked goods and breakfast items.
You can select to pick up your food on the Tuesday, or Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

4. Olamaie
This award-winning modern southern restaurant is offering an Everything But The Turkey package for $195. It includes a beautiful spread of all your favorite classic Thanksgiving side dishes (including those insanely delicious Olamaie buttermilk biscuits.)
This package feeds 6-8 people and is available for pick-up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. This is a great option if you still want to wow your guests with your turkey-cooking skills…but you don’t want to mess with everything else. You're just responsible for reheating all of the sides.
Olamaie also offers an $80 grazing appetizer spread, plenty of a la carte options (yes, you can just order the biscuits!), wine pairings, and desserts like a pumpkin cake or biscuit cinnamon rolls.

5. Sawyer & Co.
If you want a really easy Thanksgiving day, order your meal from Sawyer & Co. They’re a southern diner located in east Austin and you can order and pick up your full meal at the restaurant.
The meals are cooked ahead of time and then prepared for you to heat with their instructions. 6. Walton’s Fancy and Staple
Available a la carte or as a whole package, Walton’s family feast serves 10 people and consists of a selection of absolutely scrumptious Thanksgiving favorites. In addition to a n orange-thyme rubbed turkey breast with turkey gravy, you’ll also get horseradish mashed yukon gold potatoes, glazed roasted carrots, blistered green beans with balsamic mushrooms and crispy onions, mac and cheese, cornbread stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

This coastal seafood restaurant on South Lamar has an epic Thanksgiving meal available for pre-order that’s designed to feed 8-10 people. It includes a whole honey-sage roasted turkey, andouille cornbread stuffing ,rosemary garlic mashed potatoes, classic mac and cheese, citrus-vanilla cranberry sauce, gravy, and Texas pecan pie.

8. Hoover’s Cooking
Hoover’s southern cooking has a beautiful made-from-scratch Thanksgiving meal available for pre-order. Choose your entree (oven-roasted or fried whole turkey or boneless smoked breast) and select sides, available by the quart or pan.
For desserts, they have homemade pies and made-from-scratch cobblers available.

9. Gati Ice Cream Thanksgiving Desserts
Gati Ice Cream, the allergen-free bakeshop and ice cream counter in east Austin from the Thai Fresh team, is doing their annual holiday-themed desserts that are available for pre-order now.
Indulge in gluten-free (and often dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and vegan) treats like their crumbled apple maple walnut pie, a pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling, or three-layer carrot cake with pumpkin spice cream cheese frosting.

10. Colleen’s Kitchen
Colleen’s Kitchen, the adorable southern restaurant in Mueller, is offering a build-your-own Thanksgiving meal for pre-order this season. The Thanksgiving farmhouse feast serves 6-8 guests and includes a 12-14 pound herb buttered roasted turkey, scratch turkey gravy, orange cranberry sauce, cornbread sauce, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, whipped garlic mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potato casserole, and baked mac and cheese.

We all know that Fresa’s knows how to do grilled chicken...so it's no surprise that they can make a fantastic turkey for Thanksgiving!
This is a one-stop option has a meal that includes a full turkey plus all the sides for 8-10 people, and another smaller option with a turkey breast plus sides for 5-6 people.

The 2nd best bbq in the entire state of Texas according to Texas Monthly, Michelin-starred restaurant Interstellar BBQ is offering Thanksgiving meals available for pre-order to make your holiday run as smoothly as possible.

Make Thanksgiving 2024 a breeze with Swedish Hill’s Thanksgiving feast. This MML Hospitality restaurant in Clarksville has been under construction while they create a branding change (they'll be a catering company soon), but you can place an order and pick it up at the almost-opened Westlake location of Swedish Hill.

You can place a Thanksgiving pre-order meal that you can pick up at District Kitchen (north location) or Keepers Coastal Kitchen (south).

15. Verbena
Verbena, the downtown restaurant inside Canopy Austin, is offering Thanksgiving meal pre-orders for 2024.
A package feeds 8-10 people and includes herbed natural roasted turkey, gravy, cornbread stuffing, cranberry sauce, and several sides like potatoes, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and parker house rolls. You can add on additional sides (pumpkin pie!) for an extra fee.
