2. Hillside Farmacy
This renovated historic pharmacy building is now one of the most popular brunch spots in east Austin. Enjoy fluffy pancakes, benedicts, and biscuits & gravy in a quaint setting.
3. LIN ASIAN BAR
You can't find a better Dim Sum brunch in Austin than at this adorable Clarksville bungalow. Egg cream buns, egg rolls, and the best soup dumplings of your life, I swear. Popular spot so make a res!

If a cute ambiance is what you’re looking for, try getting brunch at Launderette. It’s an award-winning American restaurant that’s in east Austin (just a short distance from Rainey Street), and it’s in a beautifully renovated space that used to be a laundromat. Launderette has one of the best brunches in Austin, well-known for their delicious pastries and deserts, incredible plancha burger, and crispy fries.
Tip: if it's a nice day, ask to sit on the patio. It's my favorite spot for brunch at Launderette!

2. Paperboy
Paperboy is an all-out brunch restaurant. And that's it. Like, all they do is brunch, every single morning, and so of course they do it really well!
It used to be a popular food truck in Austin, and then Paperboy opened a beautiful brick-and-mortar in east Austin.

3. Josephine House
This renovated Clarksville bungalow is one of the sweetest brunch spots. If you want to enjoy brunch in Austin on a sunny morning, try to snag one of their coveted outdoor seats!
It's from the highly esteemed MML Hospitality Group (Sammies Italian, Clark's Oyster Bar, Elizabeth Street Cafe). All of their American brunch classics are perfect. Try the pancakes - they're so fluffy and I think they're the best in Austin!

4. Dai Due
Day Due is a farm-to-table restaurant in east Austin that sources hyper locally. Their brunch is hands down one of the best and most memorable in Austin with lots of unique Texas fare.
A few of my personal brunch favorites at Dai Due include the crispiest Sunday fried chicken, homemade biscuits with antelope breakfast sausage gravy, and sourdough pancakes with cherry syrup and pistachio butter.

5. Café No Sé
One of the best South Congress brunch spots, Café No Sé is definitely on my list of best brunch spots in Austin. The pastry program is led by James Beard Award-nominated chef Amanda Rockman, so be sure to start with a plate of pastries for the table.
The entire restaurant, which is located on the first floor of the south Congress Hotel, is just bright and pretty and picturesque.They have the fluffiest lemon ricotta hotcakes, really beautiful toasts, and some healthier options like a quinoa bowl, a yummy kale salad, and a yogurt and granola bowl.

6. Foreign And Domestic
Foreign and Domestic is a farm-to-table, nose-to-tail neighborhood restaurant tucked into North Loop. Their menu often rotates based on what’s in season, but expect to find elevated takes on classic brunch dishes, like pork & grits made with delightfully crispy berkshire pork and tomato gravy, and a veggie-heavy cast iron frittata with squash, scallion, mushroom, tomato, and gruyere.

7. Hillside Farmacy
Located in a 1950s drugstore, Hillside Farmacy is a chic space with seriously phenomenal American brunch dishes. From gulf shrimp to buttermilk pancakes (sooo thick and fluffy!) to the classic farm eggs bowl, you’ll find something absolutely delicious for your Sunday morning brunch... Psst: you’ll definitely want to get that wasabi bloody mary.

8. Geraldine's
Looking for one of the best upscale brunch spots on Rainey Street? Geraldine's is the 6th-floor restaurant at the Hotel Van Zandt, and they have a live jazz trio performing at their weekend brunch.
While you're boppin' along to the jazz beats, enjoy the contemporary American menu with items like short rib quesadillas or a smoked salmon benedict. Be sure to start with a pastry like a homemade pecan sticky bun paired with a mimosa carafe. It’s a fun, boozy, elevated brunch experience in ATX.

One of the sweetest and most beautiful restaurants in Austin, Tiny Boxwoods is a Houston-based brunch restaurant that also has a location in central Austin.

Looking for a good boozy, group brunch spot on Rainey? Bangers is it!! This is one of the best brunches on Rainey Street, and the line of hungover party people waiting to get inside is the proof! T
here’s no reservation list, so you might have to wait a tad, but it’s well worth it for their house made sausages, massive beer list, and classic brunch menu of hash, benedicts, and pancake platters.

11. Forthright Cafe
Located in the heart of downtown, right by Lady Bird Lake, Forthright is a darling little spot with a wonderful coffee program, a small patio, and big windows that let in lots of light inside. Their café serves classic American brunch dishes like pork shoulder hash, a pastrami eggs benedict, and the best avocado toast in the city.
For starters, get one of their specialty coffee drinks, like their spiced lavender chai, + a pastry. The homemade pop tart is really fun. Dining with a few people? Try their absolutely delicious, fluffy biscuits. You can get a basket for the table!

1. 24 Diner
While it’s not technically a 24-hour diner ever since the pandemic hit Austin, 24 Diner still has long hours, a fun ambiance, and farm-fresh takes on classic diner food.
Their crispy chicken and waffles, huge pancakes, and delicious drinks make this one of the most popular brunch restaurants near downtown Austin.

2. Phoebe's Diner
Phoebe’s serves all of the diner classics that you’d expect, but it's one of the best brunch spots in Austin because they do the classics really, really well. Their tots are perfectly fried, with a nice crunch on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The omelets are fluffy and savory, and one of the most memorable dishes on the menu is the badass bacon and eggs, which comes with a thick, salty piece of slab bacon.
Pro tip: try to dine here on a weekday morning if you can - it’s always packed on the weekends!

3. Counter Cafe
Grab a stool and settle in for one of the most delicious brunches in Austin at Counter Cafe. They source local, organic food for both breakfast and lunch (their burger is amazing!)

4. Joann's Fine Foods
This retro diner on South Congress has a groovy little patio that’s perfect on a sunny Sunday morning. Joann’s makes fresh juice (but you can add a little somethin’ somethin’ to it if you want to make it more fun!), crazy good pastries from their sister restaurant Swedish Hill, and Tex Mex-inspired brunch plates like green chile enchiladas and red corn pancakes.

1. Mattie's
This might be the most beautiful brunch spot in south Austin. Mattie's is an old historic mansion that's tucked into the Bouldin Creek neighborhood of south Austin, nestled underneath century-old live oak trees. This renovated home is a popular place for weekend weddings, and the restaurant is open for nightly dinners and weekend brunch.
Psst: there are actual peacocks that roam the grounds!
Their menu focuses on southern classics: really good biscuits and gravy, fried chicken benedict, and the crispiest home fires. Get one of those bloody marys with housemade pickled okra!

2. Jacoby's Restaurant and Mercantile
Jacoby's is a fun spot for an Austin brunch because they're located right on the Colorado River, but not the noisy downtown portion…this family-run restaurant is tucked away on the east side of Austin, and it feels calmer and slower.
Their menu focuses on locally-sourced meat (it comes from their own family ranch) and southern favorites. They have some of the tastiest buttermilk biscuits with house sausage gravy, pimento grilled cheese (add bacon, for sure!), and chicken fried steak and waffles.
Pro tip: get a slice of Grandma Hagler’s strawberry cake before you leave. Like seriously, please don't leave without getting it. Life changing.

3. Colleen's Kitchen
This southern-inspired restaurant feels like you’re walking into your aunt’s kitchen…if your aunt was Martha Stewart and had phenomenal style, sense of decor, and cooking skills. Colleen’s Kitchen is bright and colorful, always bustling on the weekends and an absolutely wonderful place to grab a weekend brunch in Austin.
The skillet cornbread with whipped honey butter is a must-try starter, and good luck choosing just one entree. They’re all so tasty! The low country gulf shrimp + grits is a good option, as is their perfect full southern breakfast, which ahs a little bit of everything.

4. Fixe
This elevated southern restaurant in downtown Austin has some of the best biscuits in the city. It’s just a fact. And Fixe’s brunch menu, thankfully, is full of yummy biscuit sandwiches. They take those fluffy, salty, pillowy biscuits and pile them full of tender belly ham and mustard aioli, or crispy fried chicken and Goodflow honey, or just classic sausage/egg/American cheese.
Of course, there are plenty of other sophisticated entrees like their brioche french toast or heritage pork chop.

If you’re looking for an all-you-can-eat brunch in downtown Austin, check out Moonshine Grill. It’s a restaurant in a historic downtown mansion from 1852, and they’ve been serving southern classics since 2003.

1. La Condesa
2X James Beard nominated restaurant La Condesa is a staple in Austin. They've been located in the trendy 2nd Street District since 2009 serving their modern Mexican cuisine in a bright, airy corner restaurant.
Favorites: the queso flameado with homemade corn tortillas (add short rib!), and for a Mexican classic go for the delicious huevos rancheros. Craving something sweet? The churro waffles are delicious!

2. El Naranjo
From James Beard Award-winning chef Iliana De La Vega, El Naranjo is a Mexican restaurant that focuses on traditional interior Mexican cuisine. This means that dishes like rancheros or huevos benedictos or chilaquiles will be slightly different than dishes with the same name at a Tex-Mex joint.
For instance, the rancheros are two fried eggs with a bright yolk, served over homemade corn tortillas and smothered with housemade salsa ranchera, a rich red sauce made from tomatoes and onions and all sorts of traditional herbs and spices. You’ll also get a serving of homemade bread and salty refried black beans. This is one of the most phenomenal brunch spots in Austin.
